Nashville, TN – Since the release of his 2006 debut album, RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen has become one of country music’s hottest young talents, racking up GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award nominations along with a string of hit singles, and Jake continues to build on those accomplishments with the February 24 release of his sophomore album, Easy Does It.

Owen will kick off his album release day with a return visit to ABC’s Good Morning America for a performance that will include the first single from Easy Does It, the red-hot Top 10 “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.”

With eight of his new album’s 10 songs co-written by Jake, the disc is very much a reflection of his personality, both in the laidback message of the album title, and in Owen’s approach to what makes great music. He says, “I’m pretty fortunate to be around a lot of people that I look up to, and I think the common consistent lesson that I learn from all of them is that it’s all about truth. Maybe it’s not truth per se as far as your own life, but it’s all about being truthful about today’s society, about what people think or do. I made the record saying it how I want to say it. This is what I am … this is what I sing about … this is what I do. I love to hear where people come from. I like to hear what they’re all about, and that’s what makes music so different.”

In addition to the excitement surrounding the release of Easy Does It, Jake recently earned a pair of nominations for The 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where he’s up for Vocal Event of the Year, as well as the fan-voted Top New Male Vocalist. Voting is currently underway through March 5th at www.gactv.com.

Owen first hit the national scene with the release of his debut album, Startin’ with Me, which launched a trio of hit singles, including the title track, “Yee Haw,” and “Something about a Woman.” Since then, he’s toured with some of country music’s biggest names, including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and Sugarland.
