For Immediate Release
September 18, 2009
Nashville, TN --Columbia Nashville artist Josh Thompson will make his Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday, September 19, and perform his self-penned debut single, “Beer On The Table.” The upbeat song about working hard to party hard is already proving to be a huge success at country radio, and fans are drinking it up. The singer/songwriter from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, first got his start by performing traditional country songs around the country at night, while pouring concrete during the day to pay the bills.
“Playing the Opry for me is like a preacher getting into heaven. It’s the one thing I have devoted my life to and if you have a deep love and respect for the tradition like I do, it is just as sacred,” Thompson explains. “It’s a dream come true to stand and sing on the same stage as all my honky tonk heroes.”
His new video for “Beer On The Table” will make its silver screen debut on CMT on Monday, September 21, airing between 9:45-10A Eastern. Fans can check it out next week at www.cmt.com.
