Country Star Jake Owen Hosts New Online Series Premiering Today

Nashville, TN – As the premiere of CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock on ABC quickly approaches, Jake Owen takes country fans on a fun journey in his new web series, “Nashville Nights,” on ABC.com. The webisodes, which premiere today, capture all of the escapades, goofs, and exciting memories that Owen experienced during the 2009 CMA Music Festival.
Viewers will see his reaction immediately following his first performance at the stadium during the CMA Music Festival, along with an exclusive tour of his favorite hotspots in downtown Nashville, and even catch a glimpse of some high-flying acrobatics on his wakeboard.
Tune in for the first webisode of the five-part series today at ABC.com. You can watch the series as a weekly countdown to CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, airing August 31 on ABC. Jake will perform his hit single, “Eight Second Ride,” from his recently released album, Easy Does It, for the first time on national television on the special.

Jake first hit the national scene with the release of his debut album, Startin’ with Me, which launched a trio of hit singles, including the title track, “Yee Haw,” and “Something about a Woman.” Since then, he’s toured with some of country music’s biggest names, including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and Sugarland. He has also received GRAMMY, ACM, and CMA nominations in the past year. He was also named “Top New Male Vocalist” at the 2009 ACM Awards.
