Owen To Host ABC.com's "The Countdown To Country Music's Biggest Night" For Second Year
Latest Single "Eight Second Ride" Continues To Climb The Country Radio Charts
Nashville, TN - (October 23, 2009) RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen is slated to host ABC.com's "The Countdown To Country Music's Biggest Night," a daily webisode special, leading up to "The 43rd Annual CMA Awards," which airs live on November 11th (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network. This exciting opportunity comes as Owen's self-penned new single "Eight Second Ride" continues to climb the Country radio charts and enters the Top 25.
Owen, who hosted ABC.com's "Nashville Nights" special for the CMA Music Festival, will take on the hosting gig again this November for ABC.com's "The Countdown to Country Music's Biggest Night" The daily five-minute show will be available at www.ABC.com beginning on November 4 through November 12. Owen will take fans behind the scenes of the events leading up to the CMA Awards, showcasing many of Country Music's biggest stars
In addition to hosting the daily webisodes, Owen will also attend the CMA Awards, where he is nominated for the coveted "New Artist of the Year" award.
Since releasing his debut album, Startin' With Me, RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen has celebrated five consecutive hit singles including Top 15 debut single, "Yee Haw," the Top 10 "Startin' With Me," the Top 15 "Something About A Woman," and his recent Top 5 "Don't Think I Can't Love You." His current single "Eight Second Ride" just entered the top 25 on the Country radio charts. In the last two years, Owen made his national TV debut on ABC's "Good Morning America" and has toured non-stop with the biggest names in Country Music including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland. Jake has received nominations for Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, a GRAMMY Award, and was named "Top New Male Vocalist" at the Academy of Country Music Awards this past April. His sophomore album, Easy Does It, hit stores on February 24, 2009.
