Owen Scores GRAMMY Nomination For Collaboration With Sugarland And Little Big Town
“Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” Continues To Climb The Country Radio Charts As The Fastest Rising Song Of Owen’s Career
Nashville, TN – (December 3, 2008) RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen is finishing out the year with plenty of excitement as he receives his first Grammy nomination for “Best Country Collaboration With Vocals” for his smash hit “Life In A Northern Town” with Sugarland and Little Big Town. This year alone, Owen has been nominated for his first Academy of Country Music Award, as well as, his first Country Music Association Award.
This exciting news comes as Owen’s self-penned new single “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” continues to climb the country radio charts and enters the Top 25. The song is the first single off his sophomore album, Easy Does It, due on February 24, 2009. As with his debut release Startin’ With Me, Owen has penned or co-penned a majority of his upcoming release.
Upon receiving the news of his nomination, Jake shared, “I am truly blown away. ACM, CMA and GRAMMY nods in one year…that’s nuts. Can you believe it? I honestly can’t. I am honored by the nomination and proud to share it with Sugarland and Little Big Town. Since releasing his debut album Startin' With Me, Jake Owen has celebrated three consecutive hit singles including his Top 15 debut single, “Yee Haw,” the Top 10 “Startin’ With Me” and the Top 15 “Something About A Woman.” In the last two years, Owen made his national TV debut on ABC’s Good Morning America and has toured non-stop with the biggest names in country music including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland.
